James Surowiecki who writes on finance matters for The New Yorker magazine, talks to US Congressman Barney Frank, Chairman of House of Representatives Finance Services Committee on healthcare, financial matters and mortgage foreclosures.
“Trying to have a conversation with you would be like trying to argue with a dining room table.”
Congressman Barney Frank gave this response to a woman who had compared President Obama’s reform plan to “Nazi health care” at a recent Massachusetts town hall meeting. The video of this quote was played over and over by news outlets, giving the dining room table exposure that Ann Coulter (who also has spindly legs) would kill for. Since then, everyone wants to know more about this intriguing dining room table. Prepare to hear a lot more about this mysterious political figure as the offers pour in.
This is the second in a series of conversations which Surowiecki is having. The first with Alan Mullaly of Ford is here.
